Columbia University hired CitizenR&D to develop an environmental branding strategy that would make it easier for visitors and community members to comprehend its five disparate properties in northern Manhattan as a unified whole. Through extensive research, the firm developed a six-point plan that outlines an integrated branding and wayfinding strategy.  After establishing consensus with stakeholders, the firm published recommendations to guide the design of all future visitor information programs.
